Kaylee Ludiker’s debut album “Bury the Hatchet,” co-created with husband Dennis Ludiker at Ludiker House Records in Austin, TX. Featuring guests Lloyd Maines and Jesse Otis Dalton, “Bury the Hatchet” is a progressive blend of Americana, folk, and bluegrass (what we are calling Indie Grassicana for the time being, check back with us later on that). The album showcases the collaboration between songwriter Kaylee and composer Dennis, leading to winding soundscapes, virtuosic instrumentals, and a focus on genuine emotional depth.

About “Lover & Me,” a single from “Bury the Hatchet”

“I wrote Lover and Me when the Covid shutdown was easing up - Dennis had his first show back with Asleep at the Wheel, and until then we had spent the majority of our quarantine together (well… with a baby in my tummy). The house was quiet, and I felt a real longing for him to come back home. I liked the days when it was just my lover and me. I realized we could spend 100% of our time together and he made me feel like I was home with him. Our first recording of it was around a mic in our living room, Dennis on guitar and me singing. We sent the track to Lloyd after it was finished, just to have his ears on it, and he sent us back two beautiful tracks of pedal steel and dobro that absolutely captured my feelings, and made the song as emotive as it is. He said it was a baby shower gift. He and Tina are good people.
